We are all missionaries!

Things here are good. It rained here a lot this week. I went through two umbrellas..... haha .  I ran through a talk called the "Challenging and Testifying Missionary", that I have read about 5 to 6 times but I read it again and was impressed by some things. One thing that stood out to me is that it says that the Challenging and Testifying Missionary when he wakes up in the morning prays to the Lord to find a new family everyday in the morning. So that's what I did this week and it works! Usually in this area, we find about 13 to 15 new investigators every week. We have never found more than 20. This week we found 29.

I did Divisions with Elder Maldonado and we found a nice lady and taught her and then said the prayer and left. As we were walking down the driveway, I said "Wait a minute we forgot to invite her to be baptized!!!!" So we turned around right there and went and knocked on the door again. We talked to her and put on the Baptismal Date! Boom!

The Challenging and Testifying Missionary challenges every person he meets. Now, I ask what would the Challenging and Testifying MEMBER do? Members are the KEY to good Missionary work. They are the legs to the body. As the scriptures say thrust in your Sickle.... well, yes its true that one can harvest with a Sickle-- it's possible. But, what has Man done with the Sickle? Man has transformed it into beautiful machinery to help get the work get done better. And look and what the Lord has done.---We have a ton of missionaries today, but we have more members too. I guess my challenge would be to you all is that you can wake up every morning and be a member who understands the importance of the Plan of Salvation and invites the people that don't know the Gospel to GET to know the Gospel. That's the way that The Scripture Heros were able to find so much success.
Alma 23:4 D and C 83:106, 107-108

As Pres Monson said when the Age was Changed for Missionaries. Now is the Time for Members and Missionaries to come together and Labor in the Lord's Vineyard.
Do we know the goals of our Ward? How are we helping the Ward to Achieve those Goals? Do we say that the goal of Baptisms is the Missionaries Goal or the Wards Goal? If we say the Wards goal then we have a part in helping those Baptisms as well.

I love you all and am grateful for all of the Support!

Happy are we! Happy are we!

Costa Rica is a great Country!  What a great place with soo many great people who are humble and teachable!

We have been doing divisions. I have been going with a young kid that is preparing for their mission and with Kevin--- The kid who had a dream. We cut his hair last week. HE is awesome. We have really seen the hand of the Lord in the work! The Lord is preparing this area to be a branch.
We had a meeting with the ward counsel and we told them all about how we would like to make a stake from the ward that we have, and they like the idea.  I really believe that we are going to be able to make a stake from the ward we are in. We made the plans and there are 5 areas that can become 5 wards. Whoot!  Whoot!!! Anywho....
I hope, I really hope that the Elders and Sisters can understand the responsibility that they have as Home Teachers or Visiting Teachers. Man, I spoke with the Stake and the Ward Counsel on Sunday, and was asked to share a thought.  I explained, that  A Ward without home teachers/visiting teachers is like a human being without Legs--- We can expect it to stay alive, but we can't expect it to move Forward. We as members have to be the legs that move the work forward.  We are the legs! I also shard the scriptures-- D&C  84:106-108 and some others too.

I am most thankful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for me, as well as so many other things.

We must all work to better understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ.  To often, we brush off the "Why we are here in this earth" . Sometimes we really just brush over our Purpose in Life and we just say it is to gain experience,  but we should be able to say more than that.  Our purpose is eternal and our relationship with our brother Jesus Christ depends on that.
Woah I almost forgot. We had an awesome experience lending Service to a couple. Man it was awesome! We had the opportunity to help a family that was struggling. We had a really Spiritual lesson with them in the Chapel and asked them if they had Faith. We explained some things about the purpose of faith and having it is like walking in the dark for a little while. They cried a little and then we gave them blessings of comfort and boom!---- Everything worked out!  We worked one night helping them move. It was so amazing how we were able to help them both spiritually and temporally.
Have a great week!  I love you all!

On Sunday we had a meeting with the Stake again, We met with all of the Ward Mission Leaders in the Stake and explained the needs of our Missionaries to them. in each ward. and some other things and before that we were taught for like two hours and learned a lot from a high counselor member.

What a way to end August!

This week went really well! Well this week was changes week. The Assistants called us and informed us of changes and how now they are going to be a little different. Changes will be on Wednesday, and then they will find out where they are going. Anyways, they have 2 days to pack so that's cool. But we had to make quite a few calls with all of the changes.  I get to stay with Elder Nunez for a bit longer and I am soo excited about it.  He is such a great missionary and really knows how to work. Also, there will be a new area in the Zone with sisters! We had to go search for a  house for them one day,  so that was cool.

Well, let me tell you what the Lord is preparing this Land.  Many, many  great things to come and in preparation for the Second coming. We are going to have a marriage this week on Saturday at 3:00 pm. and then 3 Baptisms thereafter. So awesome Miracle!--- We were taking a bus to our area, and then the people behind us tapped our shoulders and said,
"Hi, you preach the Gospel Right? I have seen you a lot and would like to have you come to my house."
So we said "Well Hey you bet!" and so we planned a time and got their number, then we set out on our way. We went back at that set time and talked with them got to know them and started teaching. I was teaching about Baptisms, and then the husband said:
" Do you Baptize?"
We answered "YES!"
Then he said,  "Can I be Baptized?"
And we about jumped for joy! haha !!! So we set a date right then and there! The date set is September 20th! So they have to get married as well. Anyways, so later that night we took them with us to the Church with some other investigators,  and I am very grateful for the Family History Calling I had!!! It has helped me in soo many ways.  I was able to help them all make LDS accounts and find some family members. Anyway, then those 5 investigators were all very excited and all three are set to be baptized soon.

The Zone is growing. We still always need the prayers and we always feel them too!. I am very grateful for the mission, but more grateful for the Savior and what he has done for me.
Please! Work with the Missionaries! Invite them over for a Family Home Evening. And if you don't have them, then Pray and find a way to help in La Obra Misional! You find so much Joy doing it!  I promise you!

There are sooooo many other incredible miracles that happened this week! but I don't have the time to write them just know that the Lords hand is here working in Costa Rica

Love you all! Work Hard to Defend and Develop your Testimonies of the Atonement ALWAYS!!!

Love Ya all!!!
